Day 01: Arrive Leh
Arrive Leh, transfer to Hotel. Day is at rest for acclimatization. Evening, walk around the Leh Bazar. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Excursion to Hall of Fame – Pathar Sahib (Gurudwara) – Magnetic Hill – Sangam
Post breakfast, Excursion tour to Sangam (confluence of Indus andZanskarRiver). En route visit Hall of Fame (Kargil war hero Museum), Pathar Sahib (Gurudwara) built in the memory of Guru Nanak in 1517AD. Later drive back to Leh. Post Lunch visit Shanti Stupa, Samkar monastery andLehPalace. Evening explore Leh market. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Drive Leh – Shey – Thiksey – Stok Palace – Leh
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Stok (14km) by crossing Indus River over a Bridge at Choglamsar. Visit theStokPalace. This Palace built in 1825 by King Tsespal Tundup Namgyal. Great collection of Royal dresses, Armor, statues and Thangkas (Scroll paintings). After the visit, drive to Shey, ancient capital of first King (Lachen Spalgygon) of Ladakh.VisitSheyPalace and small monastery and then drive back to Leh. Overnight at Hotel in Leh. (3500m)
Day 04: Drive Leh – Tsormoriri Lake (4550 m)
Morning after breakfast, drive to Korzok (230km).You along the Indus River up to Mahe Bridge. On the way you can see many beautiful villages of Changthang valley, Hot Sulphur Spring at Chumathang and many Nomadic Camps with their domestic animals like Pashmina Goats, Yaks and Sheeps. TheTsomoririLake is 23 km long and 10-15 km wide and the panoramic view of theLake is amazing with Turquoise coloured water. Overnight at camp. (4550m)
Day 05: Drive Tsomoriri Lake – Tsokar Lake
Morning after breakfast have a spectacular view of Tsomoriri Lake, drive to Tsokar Lake (White Lake). Today you have to cross one pass Polokongka (4970m) and you may be able to see Black Neck Crane. Arrive Tsokar (SaltyLake) and here you can see many wild Ass (Skyang) and many birds. Overnight at Camp in Pongunagu. (4590m)
Day 06: Drive Tsokar – Taklangla (5300 m) – Leh
Morning after breakfast, drive Tsokar to Leh via Taklang-la (5300m) (world’s second highest motorable pass). After Tsokar you rejoin Leh-Manali highway. Halt at top of the Taklang-la pass for few minutes to enjoy the panoramic view of awesome landscape of Rupshu valley. After then continue drive to Leh. Overnight at hotel in Leh.
Day 07: Drive Leh – Pangong Lake – Leh (149 kms one way)
Early morning drive toPangongLake 149 km from Leh. Today you cross Chang-la (The world’s third highest motorable road in the world 5300m). On the way, you enjoy awe inspiring amazing view of charming villages, beautiful mountains, animals like Yaks and marmots, nomads and Chanthang valley. Arrive at Lake, the Lake is 136 km long and 5-10 km wide, 47% of this lake is inIndia and rest is inTibet. The view of lake is spectacular and breathtaking. Spend few hours there while overwhelming, captivating the beauty of nature and later on drive back to Leh. Overnight at Hotel in Leh. (3500m)
Day 08: Drive Leh – Khardung-la (5400 m) – Leh (39 km one way)
Post breakfast, drive to khardunglatop (39 kms one way / world’s highest motorable pass -18380ft). Enroute awesome and spectacular landscape view ofIndus valley, high snow capped peaks of Ladakh, Zanskar ranges. Later drive back to Leh. Overnight at hotel in Leh.
Day 09: Drive Leh – Delhi
Early morning transfer to airport to take return flight.
